Neil Nakikus - General Manager

Neil has been with Global Constructions since 2006, he was engaged as project Manager on the Waigani Drive contract, upon its completion Neil was promoted to the role of Construction Manager. He has extensive civil construction experience and was promoted to the role of General Manager in November 2009 given his exemplary performance. This position has previously been held by an expatriate and Neil holds this position on merit and achievement. This is the company’s most senior position and it is proud to place a Papua New Guinean in this role.

 

 

 

Bob McVicar - Construction Manager

Bob has had well over 30 years experience in the construction industry both in Australia and New Zealand. His roles have been diverse and has experience in both civil and building construction. He has recently held senior project management roles and departmental management roles with large companies in New Zealand before joining Global in the third quarter of 2009.

 

 

 

Dennis McKinley - Financial Controller

Dennis has been with the company since 2007. Dennis has extensive experience in the banking and finance sector within New Zealand where he has held senior positions with the ANZ which include a branch Manager Role.

 

 

 

Linda Rupu - Administration Manager

Linda has been with Global since 1996, she has recently been promoted to her current role after the company has facilitated her with extensive external training, and she now holds a position once held by an expatriate. She is one of the company’s longest serving employees.

 

 

 

Henry Kairi - Human Resources

Henry has been with Global Constructions since May 2009. He has over 14 years of experience in all aspects of HR administration. Henry has held several senior HR roles and obtained extensive public and private HR experience. Experiences developed are in the areas of recruitment, coordination of staff training and career development, occupational health and safety, workers compensation and payroll.

 

Currently he is responsible for the company’s HR functions to ensure that Global Constructions Ltd attracts, develops, retains and rewards the right people with the right skills at the right time in order to achieve the strategic objectives of the company. Moreover, Henry also updates and formulates current HR, company, OH&S, employment rules and regulations for management review.

 

 

 

Kohu Heni – Survey Manager

Kohu has been with Global since 1999, he is a registered surveyor and is responsible for ensuring that all survey and engineering requirements are met on each individual project, he has worked in all locations throughout PNG and before his time with Global was engaged with an overseas based Survey contractor. He is another beneficiary of the Global policy to localise various positions throughout the organisation, this position became localised in 2004

 

 

 

Mirou Kahorella – Workshop Manager

Mirou is one of the original employees who has been with the company since its inception in 1993. He has risen through the organisation moving from mechanic to foreman and through to supervisor.
